To become a powerful end-time spiritual warrior, that is a Minister of God, you must come in to a position where you know JESUS, where you are one with Him, where you are able to “see” and “hear” in the Spirit what He wants you to do and say.
One of God’s purposes for your life and mine as ministers and leaders in the Church, is for us to grow and develop until we come into the “full and accurate knowledge of the Son of God…” (Ephesians 4:13 AMP)
There is only one way that we will be able to do this and that is through prayer. Prayer based on a knowledge of Scripture.
The only way we will be able to really know Jesus in all of His fullness is by spending time alone with Him in the Scriptures and in Prayer.
The only way we will be able to know His will for our life, dear Minister, is through Prayer.
The only way we will be able to penetrate into the realm of the Spirit, where we are able to “see” and “hear” what He wants us to do and to say, is through Prayer.
Just as it was necessary for Jesus, in the form of human flesh, to use prayer as a means of communicating with the Father and knowing His will, it is necessary for you and I to use prayer as a means of coming into the “full and accurate knowledge of Jesus.”
There is a decision and commitment we must make. Our knowledge of Jesus, our relationship, and our union with Him through prayer is the source (the foundation) of our strength. Unless we are willing to discipline our life, as Jesus did, to include consistent times of prayer alone with Him where we are allowing Him to reveal Himself and His will to us , then we are not able to survive.
If we are not willing to make this commitment, if we are not willing to discipline our life, we may as well give up. Unless we have this strong foundation of knowing Jesus through prayer and spending time with Him in the Scriptures, we will not be able to use the spiritual weapons and gifts God has given to us.
Take a moment right now to think about how much time you are spending each day in prayer and reading the Scripture.
Are you spending one hour, thirty minutes, fifteen, ten, or even five minutes a day?
I am not talking about the type of prayer where we spend five- or ten-minutes petitioning God for something or for our loved ones. I am talking about the type of prayer where we are waiting before God in His Presence and seeking earnestly to know Him, hungering for Him to reveal Himself to us. Whatever your commitment is right now to PRAYER and reading your BIBLE, INCREASE IT. AS YOU DO THIS, YOU WILL BE STRENGTHENED!
DEAR GOD,
HELP US TO DISCIPLINE OURSELVES TO A CONSISTENT TIME OF PRAYER AND FELLOWSHIP WITH YOU IN THE SCRIPTURES.
OPEN OUR SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING AND TEACH US HOW TO PRAY PRAYERS THAT TOUCH THE HEART OF GOD AND RESULT IN YOUR WILL BEING ACCOMPLISHED IN OUR LIFE, IN OUR FAMILY, IN OUR MINISTRY AND IN THE NATIONS OF THE WORLD.
AMEN
